How Your Move Works
From your first call to the last box in your new home, here is what happens on a Nationwide Removals move.
Tell us about your move
Send both addresses, your preferred date and a rough list or photos of what you are moving.
Survey and fixed quote
For larger homes we arrange a short video survey. You then get a fixed price in writing.
Confirm your booking
We confirm your date, arrival time and anything you need to do, such as parking permits.
Moving day
We protect, load, drive and unload, then reassemble furniture in your new home.
Before moving day
- Check parking and access at both addresses and tell us about stairs, lifts or narrow roads.
- Defrost the freezer and disconnect the washing machine the day before.
- Pack an essentials box to keep with you.
On the day
Your crew arrives at the agreed time, walks through the property with you and agrees the loading order. Keep valuables, documents and medication with you.
At your new home
Tell the crew which room each item goes in. Boxes labelled by room make this quick. We reassemble beds and furniture we took apart before leaving.
