Terms & Conditions of Removal
The terms that apply to every Nationwide Removals booking: quotes, access, liability, claims, payment and cancellation.
This page applies to services provided by Nationwide Removals, a trading name of Minix Mart Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 14845184), registered office 47 Charlbury Gardens, Ilford, IG3 9TU ("we", "us", "our").
1. Your quotation
Our quote is based on the information you give us: both addresses, the date, access at each property and the items to be moved. If the job changes, for example extra items, different access or a new date, we will tell you before the move and confirm any change in price in writing.
2. Access and parking
You are responsible for arranging legal parking for our vehicle at both addresses, including any parking suspension or permit, and for telling us about stairs, lifts, narrow roads or long carries. Extra time caused by access that was not disclosed may be charged.
3. Items we cannot move
We do not carry dangerous, flammable or illegal goods, perishable food, live animals, or cash, jewellery, documents and other items of special value. Please keep valuables, medication and important documents with you.
4. Packing
If you pack your own belongings, you are responsible for packing them adequately for transport. We are not liable for damage to the contents of boxes we did not pack, unless the box itself shows damage caused by us.
5. Our liability
We take reasonable care of your belongings and carry goods in transit insurance. Our liability for loss or damage is limited to the terms of that policy, and to the cost of repair or replacement at fair value. We are not liable for delay caused by events outside our control, such as road closures, severe weather, ferry cancellations or accidents.
6. Claims
Please check your belongings on delivery. Report any visible damage to the crew on the day and notify us in writing within 7 days of the move, with photos. We cannot consider claims made after this period except where the law requires.
7. Payment
Payment terms, including any deposit, are set out in your written quote. Balances are due before or on the day of the move unless agreed otherwise in writing.
8. Cancellation and postponement
Our cancellations and refunds policy forms part of these terms.
9. Storage
Where we store your goods, storage is charged as quoted, and we may require payment of outstanding charges before release.
10. Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
